Flagstaff Murals Map

Two good ways to see them

Wander on your own, or walk it with a guide

Self-guided, free

Use this page as your map. Go at sunrise when the light hits the east-facing walls, linger where you like, and duck into the alleys; some of the best pieces hide there. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, Flagstaff sits at 7,000 feet.

Guided, 90 minutes from $22

Thursday through Saturday at 10:00 AM. A guide who knows which pieces just went up, which artist is working on the next project, and the stories that only locals hear, at all 14 stops. Capped at 28 guests.

Planning your walk

Where are the murals in downtown Flagstaff?

Nearly all of downtown Flagstaff's murals sit inside a walkable half-square-mile bounded by Aspen Avenue, Birch Avenue, and San Francisco Street, including the 4,500 square foot Sound of Flight on the Orpheum Theatre's west wall, the alley collections behind Peace Surplus and on Bright Side Alley, and the historic ghost signs above the storefronts. The full list on this page includes an address and map link for every stop.

Can I see the Flagstaff murals without a tour?

Yes. Every mural is on public streets and alleys, free to visit any time. This page is our map for doing exactly that. What the guided tour adds is the part you cannot see from the sidewalk: the artists' stories, which pieces just went up, the hidden details, and the history behind each wall, told by a guide who knows the artists by name.

How long does a self-guided mural walk take?

The loop is about one mile on flat, paved sidewalks. At a browsing pace with photo stops, plan on one to two hours on your own. The guided tour covers all 14 stops in 90 minutes, with the stories included.
