The People Behind the Tour
A mother-and-son team with a simple belief: the best way to see a city is on foot, with someone who loves it.
Freaky Foot Tours started as a passion project, a mother and son who couldn't stop telling people the stories behind Flagstaff's buildings, alleys, and hidden corners. What began as informal walks with friends turned into one of the highest-rated tour companies in northern Arizona.
With hundreds of five-star reviews across Google and TripAdvisor, Freaky Foot Tours has been named Best of Flagstaff for 3 consecutive years and featured on The Dead Files (Travel Channel). The Ghost Tour put them on the map. The Route 66 Walking Tour expanded the story. And now, the Mural Tour adds a new chapter.
The Flagstaff Mural Tour was born from a simple observation: tourists and locals alike walked past extraordinary art every day without knowing the stories behind it. A 4,500-square-foot mural at the Orpheum that most people never look up to see. An award-winning piece hidden in an alley. Ghost signs from the 1880s fading into brick. These walls have stories, and now they have a tour. Explore all 14 murals or preview the walking route.

Mural Tour Lead Guide
Jamie doesn't just know the murals, Jamie knows the artists, the building owners, the community members who funded the projects, and the hidden details that only surface when you're standing two feet from the wall with someone who's done the research.
Named in TripAdvisor reviews as "very knowledgeable," Jamie brings an infectious enthusiasm for Flagstaff's art scene. Expect hidden symbols, unpublished backstories, and the occasional mural that was unveiled just days before your tour.
"I found my guide, Jamie, very knowledgeable on Flagstaff, its history and its art scene."Sophie M, TripAdvisor, November 2025
"The murals are beautiful and Jamie is an exceptional guide. The tour is an awesome way to see downtown Flagstaff and get oriented to the city."Amy F, TripAdvisor, November 2025
Every tour supports local artists and businesses. We work with the people who make the murals, not just the walls they're on.
Small groups, deep research, real stories. We'd rather run fewer tours than dilute the experience.
Hundreds of five-star reviews weren't an accident. Every tour is treated like the first one, because for your group, it is.
